A 35-year-old man from Gladstone was arrested on Friday for impaired driving after a two-car crash on 3rd St. NE.

The crash occurred just before 8 a.m., according to the Portage RCMP, when the driver of a 2001 Ford F-150 was travelling westbound on Fisher Ave. and lost control of his vehicle.

Upon losing control, street signs were damaged before the driver hit a utility trailer being towed by a 2006 GMC Sierra, which was heading south on 3rd St. NE.

Alcohol is believed to have been a factor and luckily no one was injured at the scene.

No further information is available. RCMP continue to investigate.

Cars looking to get past the tracks on 3rd. St SE were forced to use Victoria Ave. or Fisher. Ave. as a detour to get past the tracks heading north.
