Members of the PLAP City Rollers will be hosting a free skate on the Crescent Lake path at 1:00 p.m. followed by a barbecue at The Cat and the Fiddle at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday to celebrate International Roller Derby Day.

The PLAP City Rollers are Portage la Prairie's first ever women's flat track roller derby team, and are looking not only to support those who came out to their fundraiser held at The Cat and the Fiddle on Apr. 21 but to encourage more people to get involved with the league.

People will get a chance to meet the girl as well as to sign up to skate, become a referee, a volunteer, to just to buy a $10.00 community membership to support the league.
