LVS students jump for the heart 0

By Jordan Maxwell, Portage Daily Graphic

Several feet shook the gym floor at La Verendrye as the school did its annual Jump Rope for Heart on Thursday.

More than 70 kids participated in the event as students from all grade took turns at different stations jumping rope, using hula hoops and bouncy balls.

Mark Sokolowski, a teacher at LVS, said he was happy with the amount of students who collected donations because "it's not just about jumping; it's about helping out the community and raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation."

More to come on how much LVS managed to raise for the cause. See Friday. Apr. 27 issue of the Portage Daily Graphic.
