A business has been destroyed after a fire gutted a shop at Delta Beach on Hackberry West in the RM of Portage la Prairie.

The incident occurred on Sun. Apr. 22 just after 6:30 a.m. when the RCMP and Portage Fire Department and EMS were called to the scene of a convenience store.

Although there were no injuries, damages top $40,000.

It is believed that the store was the subject of arson and police continue to investigate while looking for suspects.
