Organizers of the Portage Potato Festival are getting ready to host their second annual Ladies Night at the Herman Prior Centre on Saturday. The event will have a Mexican theme.
Dianne Todoruk and Nadine Birston said the event will be held from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. and a dance/entertainment will be held after 9:00 p.m.
"It's a really fun event and people wanted to bring it back this year," said Todoruk. "We've gotten a lot of support from the community, which is good because without their support, we wouldn't be able to do all of this."
Shea Fust is expected to be a keynote speaker at the event and it will be catered by Bill's Sticky Fingers. What's more, over 25 businesses in the local community have stepped up to help make the event a success, said Birston.
